Yes. The photo is decoded and redrawn in this tab, so Resize Image never uploads it. The network panel stays quiet while it works.
Scaling down uses the high-quality smoothing path rather than a plain stretch, so edges, faces and small type stay clean at the new size. Going up is a different matter: you can type a bigger number, but nothing invents detail the camera never recorded, and the platform ratios never scale past your original.
JPEG, PNG and WebP, and you get back the format you came in with. HEIC, TIFF, SVG and animated files are not handled on this page.
Yes. 30MB per photo, and the long edge is capped at 8192 pixels so a huge frame cannot run the browser out of memory. Within that, there is no cap on how many photos you put through in a day.
